Pack your bags, take his dog, and move to California.

Okay, maybe that’s just my rule. But it worked.

Santa Monica wasn’t part of some grand plan. It just felt far enough away from everything I wanted to forget.

The last thing I expected to find was my mom’s journal from the year she was pregnant with me…

Or the bucket list she never got to complete before she died.
